The jockey pump is a small pump connected to a fire sprinklersystem. Its main purpose is to helpkeep consistent waterpressure going in your pipes. Should a fire occur, the fire fighting jockey pump makes sure that the water is able to flow efficiently through the sprinklers to put it out. They may not work so great at the time, in as much as the water pressure could be too low without a jockey pump.
